Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-17)

To “pray without ceasing” means to have our minds always on the things of God, to be in constant communication with him, so that every moment may be as fruitful as possible.

Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. The LORD works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed. The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. Psalms 103:1

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Deuteronomy 31:6

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

8 The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

God has bound himself to this Word, and keeps his promises.

“For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven” (Psalm 119:89).

“I run in the path of your commands, for you have set my heart free.” Ps. 119:32

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.” Ps. 119:105
